Rules

This is a team participation hackathon. You can have a maximum of 6 members. The eligible product can be either Webapp/extension or a Mobile Dapp built using Solidity language.

Option #1 - New Projects

All applications will need to deploy a new project using the KardiaChain SDK Blockchain. Your project can be built solely on the KardiaChain network or a cross-chain project. These will be considered in New Project Category.

Option #2 - Existing Blockchain Projects Existing dApps and/or projects built on other protocols are welcome to join our competition so long as they port their code over to the KardiaChain Network.

These will be considered in Existing Project Category.


All projects must be built solely on the KardiaChain network or as a cross-chain project.

What is the difference between an existing project and a new project?

New Projects: Brand new Projects that are built from scratch at the start of the competition

Existing Projects: Existing Projects are those ported/converted by the developers from other blockchain protocols such as Celo, Fantom, Ethereum, or Binance.


Categories

Below are the following categories we're considering for the competition

DeFi Dapp: AMM/DEX, Lending, Structured Finance, Yield Aggregators, Derivatives, Liquid staking, etc.

NFT platform: NFT concepts, NFT Marketplaces, Inter-NFT applications, etc.

GameFi & Metaverse: Play-To-Earn games, innovative game earning models, Metaverse applications.

Tools & Analytics: DeFi protocols tools, Charting solutions, Dashboards, Analytics, developer toolkits, etc.

Critical Infrastructure Projects: Oracles, etc.

Social Goods and Community Engagement Projects: community forums, governance toolings, DAO projects, educational videos, dedicated medium articles, etc.

Other Web 3.0 Applications: decentralized storage, decentralized social media/SocialFi, decentralized IP management, etc.

Web 2 to Web 3 Tools: Tools that provide support and assistance helping Web 2 developers learn and build in Web 3


Submission phase: 17th March to 26th April

  • Participants can register their project ideas on https://kardiachain.hackerearth.com/

  • All submissions MUST include a Github link containing the project's codebase.

  • All submissions should include a link to a 3-5 minute video presentation.
    The video should demonstrate a tutorial, explain the real-life benefits of the project, or show the project in practice.

Kardiachain will shortlist the eligible projects between 26th April to 3rd May. We will pick a maximum of 10 projects for each Category (New and Existing) and announce them to the Kardiachain community. Projects will receive significant benefits to boost their development and growth.

Kardiachain Pioneer Workshop Session: Live workshop from the Kardiachain Lab team on how to build a Project on Kardiachain.

Project requirements to be shortlisted: Smart contract quality on Kardiachain SDK; Project creativity in demanded categories;

Building phase: 3rd May - 29th May

Participants to perfect the project with excellent features, distinguished product designs, and performance. Start building the community and user bases for your project.

Voting Time: 29th May to 30th May

Out of these 20 projects, the top 10 will be awarded prizes based on Community voting + KAI's Judges.


Prohibition:

  • All project submissions must be original work that is completed during this hackathon.
  • Teams can form ideas before the hackathon, but prototypes MUST be built during the hackathon.
  • Non-KAI-related work, or work that was started prior to the official start of the hackathon, is not permitted.
  • All work contributed and submitted must be from that project's team members.

Prohibited topic: No adult themes (18+) or Vietnamese fine customs and traditions violations. No gambling. No political discussion.


Requirements

  • All team members must register full information for this hackathon when starting.
  • All projects must be completed during the duration of this hackathon.
  • Using pre-existing open-source tools and libraries is permitted.
